Engine 56 Dispatched to Broomall for Working Commercial Fire

Around 11am on January 15th, 2023, Broomall Fire Co. was alerted to an investigation call in the 1100blk of Sussex Blvd, Marple Twp. reporting a burning odor in the building. First arriving Truck 53 encountered a working fire in the lower level of the commercial building. The assignment was upgraded to a working fire and additional units from mutual aid agencies were dispatched. Engine 53 arrived and initiated a quick fire attack and extinguished the fire, while additional crews worked to ventilate the building and check for extension. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation. Engine 56 responded and assisted with ventilation, overhaul and stood-by for water supply.
