The Manoa Fire Company is one of five volunteer fire stations serving the 9.5 square miles of Haverford Township. The Company provides fire suppression, rescue operations, and assists with emergency medical services to the Township’s approximate 50,000 residents. The Company’s firefighting staff is 100% volunteer, staffing an Engine, a Rescue, and a Rescue-Pumper 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. In order to continue to provide this vital service to the community, the Manoa Fire Company is always looking for new members. Saturday evening our members and families gathered to attend the Phillies game against Kansas City. A great night was had by all and topped off with a great win by the Phillies. On Thursday, September 11th, our station was asked to be the starting point for the annual Delco 9-11 memorial bike ride. This ride annually travels through out different sections of Delaware County ending at Rose Tree Park home of the Delaware County Fallen Firefighters Memorial. We would like to congratulate 4 members of our company who last evening graduated from the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety Fire Academy Firefighter 1 program. Firefighters Charlie McCartney, Jose Oliva, James Travaglini and Ian Walsh successfully completed the skills and testing for Proboard Firefighter 1. Early Friday morning, May 16th, Rescue 56 responded on this morning on the working fire dispatch to a house fire in Yeadon as the RIT team. While on scene performing rit size up, members observed a member from S26 falling through the floor. RIT 56 Officer declared a mayday for the member. On Wednesday, April 30th, Rescue 56, Engine 34, Squad 38 and MICU 108 handled a single vehicle accident in the 200 block of East Manoa Rd. Crews stabilized the vehicle, stretched a precautionary handline and removed a door. Asst 34 had Manoa Rd Command.

On Saturday, March 1st, the Ladies Auxiliary of Manoa Fire Company hosted our BINGO Night fundraiser at the Drexelbrook. The event was a tremendous success, and we are incredibly grateful to all who participated and to our generous sponsors.
