At about the 0740hour Company and Ambulance 56, Ambulance 34, and Medic 108 were dispatched to Eagle Rd and Maryland Ave for an accident with entrapment. PD arrived quickly and advised all incoming units there was one patient trapped inside a vehicle in serious condition.
EMS arrived and had the rescue assignment expedite as their primary patient was found in cardiac arrest. As Squad 56 was arriving Ambulance 34 was transporting one patient to a local ER for evaluation. Prior to extrication being completed the ALS provider in charge of patient care deemed the patient had succumb to her injuries and the Delaware County Medical Examiner was called in for the investigation. Upon the ME's arrival the Squad crew assisted in removing the victim from the vehicle.
