At around 00:30 hours Company 56, Engine 58, Ladder 35, Medic 108 and 56-7 were dispatched to the 500 block of Furlong Avenue for a building fire. 56-9a arrived on location with a moderate smoke condition inside the home and reported an active heater fire. 56-9a gave orders to Squad 56 to pull an 1 3/4 line to the front door. 56-9 arrived on location an assumed command. The crew from Squad 56 secured the gas to the heater and quickly knocked the fire, Peco was notified. Crew from Ladder 35, Engine 56, and Engine 58 assisted with ventilation. Crews were made available shortly before 1:30 hours.
